My experience with the last Barista Jam hosted by Luck Brothers was
such a great experience for more a number of different reasons. When I
was first invited, I had never been to a Barista Jam before and I had
no idea what to expect. There were people from all of Columbus and the
state of Ohio that came out to support the Jam and learn and commune
with fellow coffee enthusiasts. The atmosphere was relaxed and positive
and everyone looked like they were having a great time. Before
attending the Jam, my knowledge of coffee and latte preparation was
more than the average bear, but still very limited. After leaving the
Jam, I had learned how to steam the milk exactly the right way, how to
judge the quality of an espresso shot, and how to create designs in a
latte. I left the Jam not only feeling confident in my ability to make
a great latte, but also more connected with the coffee community in
Columbus. I really feel like the Barista Jam was a great way to connect
with people who share the love of coffee in the area, and to expand
one's knowledge of coffee and all the little details that go into
making a great drink. I am looking forward to Kickstart's Barista Jam,
because I think there will be that same positivity and enthusiasm that
was shared at the previous jam, but with a whole new set of fresh faces
to add to the mix. I think it will also draw in more people to spread
the word about Kickstart and get people interested in all upcoming and
new things that Kickstart has to offer as a young and developing
business. |
