Latte Art Competition

The order of competition will be determined by random numbers associated with the order of registration
Registration ends when the competition begins
Competitors will have 3 minutes to produce one entry
Competitors get one try to produce a drink, no do over, no mulligan
There will be a 1 point penalty for exceeding the 4 minute limit. Failure to produce an entry after 4 minutes and 30 seconds will result in disqualification.
Contestants may use their own tamper and steam pitcher.
Contestants must use supplied espresso, espresso machine, grinder, and milk.
Drinks must contain only espresso and steamed milk. Only free-pour latte art will be accepted and judged.
Contestants are responsible for cleaning work area of grounds, milk, and any other mess. Please leave the bar in the same or better condition than you found it as a courtesy to your fellow competitors.
Contestants will present one drink entry to judges.
Drinks will receive points for contrast of ingredients, harmony size and position, creativity and difficulty, and overall impression from the visual judge.
Drinks will receive points for temperature, quality of espresso, milk texture, proportion of milk to espresso, and overall impression from the sensory judge.
The three competitors with the highest point totals will submit new drinks for a final round to determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
